A QR menu with allergens for your restaurant

EU allergen pictograms, dishes that disappear on their own the moment you 86 them, and ordering from the guest’s phone that lands in quarantine until front of house accepts it. It never touches your stock unless a human validates it.

The 14 allergens, in plain sight

Under Regulation (EU) 1169/2011, any business serving food must be able to tell customers which of the 14 mandatory allergens each dish contains, including food that is not pre-packed. The menu is the most direct place to do it.

In FoodSync allergens come with pictograms, and preparations pass them on: if a stock or a sauce contains gluten, every dish that uses it does too, without you having to remember to flag each one. And in the kitchen, the table’s allergies show up on the ticket itself.

One QR per table, orders front of house approves

Each table has its own code, so the order already knows where it came from. Guests order from their phone’s browser, with nothing to install, and the order sits in quarantine until front of house accepts it: it does not reach the kitchen or touch stock until a person has seen it.

While they wait, guests can see what the table has ordered, without prices.

The 86 applies itself

When you mark a dish as sold out, it disappears from the menu right away. And if you close a kitchen station, front of house and the QR menu stop offering its dishes. No more “sorry, we have run out of that” after the guest has already ordered it.

No internal data

The public menu only shows the dish, its description, the photo and the allergens. No cost, no margin, no stock: what your guest sees says nothing about how your business is doing.

Frequently asked questions

Do restaurants in Spain have to provide allergen information?
Yes. Regulation (EU) 1169/2011 requires information on the 14 mandatory allergens for non-pre-packed food too, and in Spain Royal Decree 126/2015 implements it. Putting allergens on the menu is the most direct way to comply.
Do guests need to download an app?
No. They scan the table’s QR code and the menu opens in their phone’s browser.
Can guests pay from their phone?
Not yet. They can order from the table; payment still goes through front of house and your card terminal. Integrated payments are in the plan, not yet in the code.
Is the menu available in English for tourists?
Not yet. An English translation of the menu is planned on the roadmap.
What happens if a dish runs out during service?
You mark it as sold out (86 it) and it disappears from the menu instantly, so nobody orders it.

Demo

Half an hour, with your own numbers on screen

Tell us which POS you run and how you buy. In the demo we set FoodSync up around your case instead of walking you through a generic tour. If we can see it does not fit, we will say so there and then.

  • We check whether your POS can be integrated today
  • We work out what your best-selling dish really costs
  • No commitment and nothing to install
