Purpose of this site

This website presents FoodSync, restaurant operations software, and lets you request a product demo. Nothing is sold directly through this site and no payments are taken here.

Intellectual property

The content, the FoodSync brand, the design and the code of this site belong to its owner, except for third-party elements used under their own licence: interface icons come from lucide.dev (ISC/MIT) and the Archivo, Inter and IBM Plex Mono typefaces are distributed under the SIL Open Font License.

Governing law

Spanish law applies. Any dispute falls to the courts of Barcelona, unless consumer legislation establishes another jurisdiction.

Privacy policy

Who processes your data

The data controller is Value Up AI, S.L., tax ID B24912776, registered at Carrer Pelai 9, entresuelo — 08001 Barcelona, Spain. Write to hola@foodsync.es about anything concerning your data.

What we collect and why

Only what you give us in the demo request form: name, restaurant name, email address, phone (optional), number of venues, the POS you run and whatever message you choose to add. Alongside it we record the page language and the address you arrived from, plus two technical anti-spam signals (a trap field and the time elapsed before submitting).

There is a single purpose: contacting you to arrange the demo and answering your questions about the product. Filling in the form does not add you to any mailing list and does not trigger marketing messages.

Legal basis

Your consent, given by explicitly ticking the box on the form (article 6.1.a GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time by writing to us, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.

How long we keep it

We keep your request for as long as the commercial conversation lasts and then for twelve months after the last contact, in case you come back to it. After that it is deleted. If you ask us to delete it sooner, we do.

Who else sees it

Nobody we do not need in order to reply to you. Your submission is processed with the following tools, acting as data processors under a signed agreement:

  • Microsoft (Microsoft 365), to send and receive the emails. The mailbox data is held in Spain.
  • Hostinger (Hostinger International Ltd), which hosts this site on a server located in France, inside the European Union.

The form is received by an automation tool we host ourselves on that same server, as is the analytics: they are not third parties, they are our own infrastructure, which is why they do not appear in the list above.

We do not pass your data to third parties for any other purpose and we do not sell it. All processing of this form’s data happens inside the European Union, so there are no international transfers. The only ones on this site are those of the voice call demo, set out in its own section.

Your rights

You may request access to your data, its correction or erasure, restriction of or objection to processing, and portability, by writing to hola@foodsync.es. We reply within one month. If you believe we handled your request poorly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).

Automated decisions

We make no automated decisions and build no profiles from this form’s data. A person reads your request and a person answers it.

The voice call demo

In the “Try it” section you can type your restaurant’s name, get a number and a code, and call to speak with a voice agent that pretends to take a booking. It is a demonstration: the booking does not exist and goes nowhere.

What happens to the call

It is not recorded. The audio is transcribed as you speak so the agent can reply, and neither the audio nor the transcript is kept after you hang up. On answering, the agent itself tells you that it is an automated assistant, that the call is not recorded and that this is a demonstration, as required by article 50 of the European AI Act.

What data is processed

  • The restaurant name you type on the site and the language you choose.
  • The content of the conversation, for as long as the call lasts.
  • Your phone number, which reaches the switchboard because that is inherent to making a call. We do not ask for it in any form, we do not link it to you and we do not store it.

You do not need to give us your name, your email or any other detail to try it.

Legal basis and retention

We process this data to serve the trial you yourself requested by pressing the button and calling (article 6.1.b of the General Data Protection Regulation, pre-contractual measures at the data subject’s request). The session and its result live for a maximum of fifteen minutes and delete themselves on expiry. We keep no copy and no history, and the service’s technical logs retain neither your name nor your phone number.

Who is involved

Five providers are involved in making the call work, all of them as data processors:

  • Twilio — telephony: it receives the call.
  • Deepgram — turns your voice into text.
  • ElevenLabs — provides the agent’s voice.
  • Google (Gemini) — the language model that decides what to answer.
  • OpenAI — backup for the above, only if it fails.

Worth knowing before you call: the content of the conversation passes through a Google language model and, if that fails, an OpenAI one. In a booking demo that means a restaurant name and an invented table, but we would rather say so.

International transfers

All five are United States companies, so this processing involves an international transfer of data, covered by the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

If you would rather not use it, don’t: the rest of the site works the same and you can ask for a demo through the form, where a person answers you.

Cookies and measurement

This site sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. There is no advertising, no tracking pixels and no embedded social media. Fonts and styles are served from our own server, so your browser requests nothing from outside domains when the page loads.

We do measure visits, using Umami, self-hosted by us at analytics.interno.valueupai.com and owned by Value Up AI, S.L. — an analytics tool we host ourselves that works without cookies: it creates no persistent identifier on your device, does not follow you from one site to another and builds no profiles. It collects, in aggregate, the page visited, where you came from, the language, the country and the device type.

That is why you will not see a cookie banner: there is nothing stored on your device to consent to. The basis for this processing is the controller’s legitimate interest in knowing whether the site works. If you would rather not appear even in that aggregate count, write to us at hola@foodsync.es and we will exclude you.

The web server’s logs temporarily record the IP address and the request made, for security and to diagnose incidents. That is a legitimate interest of the controller and those logs rotate automatically.
